AUSTRALIA, Jan. 2, 2018

Nearly 20 percent of the Australian population lives with a disability, according to The Coffs Coast Advocate’s website. Although the disabled were a previously untapped tourist group, experts and executives in the region believe that with proper access to information and appropriate accommodations, they will be able to enjoy leisure and travel services as much as everybody else. The website indicates that certain parks and beaches have already introduced “amenities such as floating wheelchairs,” in an effort to bridge the gap for disabled tourists.
